Village Community

We believe that the essence of community is what connects people to one another, what provides them the security to raise their families and establish their lives. This sense of community, particularly for a large planned residential development, is created by the participation of multiple parties: new residents, existing neighbors, nearby businesses, community and civic groups, groups from schools, churches and other institutions, the local municipality, and the development team. The social capital is put into place by a healthy community design, the collaboration of these parties, and active community participation programs and activities.

A healthy community design accommodates the elderly, young people, single parents, parents with kids and extended families each of whom have diverse degrees of economic and cultural characteristics. Healthy communities mix public places, residences, places of work, marketplaces, centers for education and spiritual reflection. A community provides support systems through services and organizations that offer guidance and the tools necessary for each person to believe in and fulfill their role as a contributing participant in society. Each of these components is vital to a community's, economic, social and spiritual success.
